My CV
I first visited Florence with a school trip in the early 70's whilst I was studying Art for my A levels
and instantly fell deeply in love with the City.
I went on to complete a BA in Fine Art at St Martins School of Art and Farnham Art College but
did not have much time to paint or draw once Corporate life took over.
Fortunately my job as Global Marketing Development Manager did lead to a lot of business travel, and it was
whilst I was working on a potential acquisition in Milan ten years ago I decided it was time to learn Italian - and where
better to learn than the original seat of the Italian language - Florence!
After a three month sabbatical at language school Centro Fiorenza, plus a lot of lessons in
London, I can now communicate with my very patient Italian friends - trying not to murder their beautiful language!
During the past three years my job moved away from marketing development into communication and event management,
which added to my experience of organising group events - and I realised I enjoyed this type of work very much!
So now all my loves have come together into this package:- Art and literature, All things Italian, - plus
Hosting parties and events - no wonder I look happy!
