Tailor-made activity holidays in Florence Italy providing language, cookery, wine, art and music courses

There will be another opportunity to study painting with one of the UK’s leading water-colour artists in May 2010.

Following a successful water-colour painting week in June, when we had fabulous weather and a great group of artists, we were delighted to be able to return to Galuzzo for another week in October 2009.

Glynis has lots of experience as a teacher and her demonstations and practical advice offer something for everyone.  - We also had fun!

So, whether you are a complete beginner or an accomplished artist who would like the stimulus of working in a small group we hope that you would like to join us next May.

I can arrange for you have the choice of in staying in the villa where we paint, which is just outside of Florence, or staying in a hotel or pleasant b&b where you can also enjoy the night life in one of the world most fascinating cities.

Whichever accommodation you choose you will have the opportunity to paint under the Tuscan Sun, in a Tuscan Garden with friendly guidance from an expert tutor with world wide credentials.

About your tutor

Glynis’ artistic ability became evident whilst she was still a small child and by her early teens she had experimented with a wide range of painting mediums and styles of expression. Later, during her years of study, she found she was drawn towards the medium of watercolour and became fascinated by what she saw as an exciting and fresh approach to portraiture.
Through constantly exploring the way in which the unique qualities of watercolour can be used to produce light and vitality in her work, Glynis has developed a skill in portraiture that captures not only the subject’s likeness but also his very soul in a single moment of time.
Glynis has experience of teaching in all mediums so dont hesitate to contact us if you prefer oils or pastels.
For more information about Glynis and to see more of her work click on the link below or any of the painted images on this page

If you would like the convenience of staying at the villa just outside Florence where the workshop is being held we have a two bedroom , two bathroom apartment - ideal for two couples or a group of friends who want to attend the workshop together -available for €1,500 per week.

As you can see from the photos below it is a beautiful location to paint in and also has some stunning views from the gardens and orchards surrounding it.

Very close to Florence we can travel back into the City in the evenings - to eat, go to concerts - or even take dancing lessons!

Feedback fror Glynis' previous workshops in Italy

"I first attended an art course with Glynis in Tuscan in 2002.We were a mixed class, some experienced artists and some like me, complete novices. I hadn’t painted since I was at primary school. Initial apprehensions soon disappeared as Glynis’ enthusiasm was very infectious. Her teaching style took the mystery out of drawing as she encouraged and supported each of us at our own level. To my amazement she managed to awaken a creative streak in me, up until which point I was unaware. She was an inspirational, enabling and practical teacher – always seeming appear at just the right moment to make helpful suggestions. She helped me move from “can’t do” to a “can do” situation, I was delighted to see how much I could achieve – and for that remain truly grateful".
