By Popular demand Lisa Banchieri is joining me back in the UK again to do some Tuscan Cookery lessons for my friends here in South London – I hope they will be as successful and popular as last year’s were.
As always we wil make fresh pasta and one of my favourite photos from last year was of Sarah wondering what to do with the left overs after making our ravioli parcels – ( Lisa showed us how to make some savoury bases for antipasti – waste not – want not!)
We have also made some unusual dishes this year in Italy – these zucchine flowers were a real treat when stuffed with a ricotta mix and lightly roasted

On Saturday we are making the pasta base canapes, a special fish dish – fish in acqua pazza – (crazy water -half wine and half olive oil) and roasted peach! Delicious!
Even the left overs were yummy! – I caught these two in the kitchen secretly emptying the piping bag used for the ravioli fillings !
Lisa is the most creative person I know – every “could I do?” is met with “Why Not?” – and further suggestions added.
Alessandro Cappellotto will be returning as Sommelier on Thursday 6th to advise on the best wines to go with our chosen food.
Our menus are:-
Thursday 6th September – 18.00 to 22.00
Menu
antipasti :- – Lisa’s bruscette – everything fresh and well seasoned – and only the best olive oil
primo :- fresh home made pasta and zucchini filling with ricotta and parmesan cheese – adding a glass of white wine makes it even more stretchy!!
secondo : arista con uva – pork loin with pancetta wrap and big red grapes to keep it sweet and moist – served with Tuscan potatoes
dolce : panna cotta serves with fresh fruits or nout or biscotti
Friday: – more of a cocktail party where you prepare some of the nibbles yourself – canapes and prosecco
