Porciano Tower

Castello di Porciano - Casentino Tuscany Italy

Or if you would prefer to stay somewhere exotic away from the centre of Florence you might consider renting a part of the walled town of Porciano  – the Tower of the Castello no less – I challenge you to find a better view across the fields and mountains of Casentino.

This beautiful area  is often referred to as La Toscana Nascosta hidden Tuscany  – illustrious guests to this castle include Dante whilst he was in exile – so it is often rented by writers looking for peace and tranquility.
