Kangaroos at Desert Springs Park in Alice Springs ! I simply wasn’t going to leave Australia without seeing a live Kangaroo – and these characters were simply lazing around and scratching themselves – with just one boy left in charge to ensure we didn’t come too close!

We enjoyed the Park it was well laid and and informative – if a bit expensive as we had only come for the Roos! However I also fell in love with some frog faced owls and this little lizard chap who I assume must not come under the endangered species label as there were none of his sort inside!
When he finally decided we had gawped too long he ran away on his hind legs!
Those Aussies ARE cleaver! Imagine that!!! running away on his hind legs!
The Roos look adorable…let’s hope that steep admissions price goes towards helping their good maintenance and upkeep. Agree with you completely, I wouldn’t have budged either without having seen some live ones! (I always did like live ones!) ; )
