Have you ever watched people painting plates on a wheel? It looks difficult to do and some people think it is too much to do in a morning – but working with Enzo anything is possible – he keeps us to a relatively simple formula but we all produce a glossy shiny plate to be proud of – and they make a splendidly original – and tasteful – gift to take home to your friends and family.
The process is enjoyable – even if you cant draw for toffee – and after marking out the area we use natural pigments to paint on the design which look quite uninteresting pre-glaze but once they have been fired the results are always lovely and shiny and professional looking!
In 2012 we aim to hold regular courses – cost only €40 for the lesson – and you get to keep your own plate – which could cost up to €32 even when bought in the market!
