The Postumous Affair is a novel written by James Friel , a writer born in North West England to Irish parents from Donegal and I hope it is not too fanciful to say that his gift of Irish blarney shines through in the lilting quality of his writing – and I love it!
As Jim is our Tutor for the upcoming The Art of Writing course 9th -15th June I started reading his book as research but now I am reading it for pleasure!
I can imagine that Jim will be an ideal tutor because I can feel the thoughtfulness with which he chooses his words, how carefully his structure is laid, how little clues and references are laid which make you think you know what is going to happen – and then Wham!- something dramaticly unexpected happens.
I must dash now – I have a good book to get back to!
