Back in beloved Florence – where it has been raining enough to look as if the banks of the Arno might give way – no small problem given the chaos and destruction caused by a breach in those same walls in 1966
Raining in the morning so a good time to be underground at a cooking class – but pleased to see some sunshine later on in the day.

Antipasti – Fritatta with Zucchini and Leeks
Leek and zucchini frittata
Primo – risotto with saffron – simple to look at but delicious!
Secondo – Vea bocconchini (little mouthfuls)l with ginger
Dolce – Chocolatissimo (molten chocolate cake!)and a chance to lick the spoons!
