Watercolour workshops with Glynis Barnes Mellish – 22nd September in London and 11- 15th October in Florence

Glynis and Victor

Glynis has done some fantastic new portrait paintings this year but she is still making time to do some workshops with Beyond the Yalla Dog in both London and Florence.

She also found time to paint a special pet portrait of my aunt’s german shepherd dog which made for a rather special birthday present this year

Watercolour Workshop Programme – for both London 20-22nd September and Florence 11-15th October

10.00 whether we are doing portraits or a Tuscan landscape the lesson starts with a “get to know you” session of coffee with little cakes – plus an all important short demonstration by Glynis.

And everyone made a pretty good job of this task I think?

YouTube homeYouTube homeIf you would like to see Glynis live in action she has art tutor films available on YouTube – one of my favourites which was painted after a previous painting workshop is shown below

It leads you onto a page with lots of tutorials by Glynis but the real thing is even better as you can ask questions too!

10.30 – we work on our paintings until nearly one o-clock – with water, coffee and tea available throughout the day

13.00 – lunch break of Tuscan panini plus pasta and salad – or even hot food in the cooler climate of London – and wine is offered for those who feel the creative process is stimulated by a touch of alcohol!

In April this year at our classes at the lovely home of Victor and Suzanna we even had the chance to do some  Life Drawing when our model Victor agreed to shed some clothing for the day – protecting some parts of his modesty with a dried flower arrangement as shown below.

This was a real treat as Life models don’t come cheap and I was shocked when a few years ago I had to pay over €100 per day for Life Classes  in Florence where the promised live model turned out to be a bunch of plastic flowers!  …… Our daily prices are €69  per day and include a good lunch!

Price £60 UK or €69 in Florence.

Most painting materials are available to use – or buy – from me provided I know what you need in advance.

So please get in touch with me at info@beyondtheyalladog.com and book your place as classes are limited to ten people per day.
