Well this makes a change from Blogging about the stories of the Saints! – From 19th to 25th June Lisa Clifford, Conrad Williams, Morag Pringle (aka Emma Fraser) and I were out in the Tuscan Sun again with the Art of Writing.
Another hugely enjoyable creative week, learning a lot and hopefully making some more lifelong friends. One of whom is Henrietta Taylor, another published author who enjoyed her stay in Casentino two years ago enough to return for a refresher course!
I am therefore really happy to be able to share this funny perspective of our week by Bill Halson,the talented husband of one of our Writer’s, Penrose Halson, whose latest book Marriages are Made in Bond Street has recently been released and has reached the top ten of the Non-Fiction Hardback Charts.
In this video Bill Halson does mention our hard work, Conrad’s creative teaching and our organisational skills – as well as a few breaks by the pool, our special milking of sheep and making ricotta cheese feature, and the miracle that is Ombretta’s home made cake.
What a privilege to have such a talented guest as a partner, joining the experienced writers in our midst, with three live Skype Sessions with agents and publishers as well as the teachings and support of such diverse writing styles as Lisa, Conrad and Emma.
And, as you can see from the video above – we all had a jolly good time out in the Tuscan Sun!
